Touch the sky!

What fortunes lies beyond the stars
Those dazzling heights too vast to climb
I got so high to fall so far
But I found heaven as love swept low

My heart beating, my soul breathing
I found my life when I laid it down
Upward falling, spirit soaring
I touch the sky when my knees hit the ground

What treasure waits within Your scars
This gift of freedom gold can't buy
I bought the world and sold my heart
You traded heaven to have me again

My heart beating, my soul breathing
I found my life when I laid it down
Upward falling, spirit soaring
I touch the sky when my knees hit the ground

Find me here at Your feet again
Everything I am, reaching out, I surrender
Come sweep me up in Your love again
And my soul will dance
On the wings of forever

Dear Sachin...

Some people can't be forgotten
Some memories can't be wiped...
What you have given to us
all of our words fail to describe....

Passion, humbleness and strength you can show all of it at once
Just a mere presence on the wicket can make a dead match alive...

The greatest batsman ever; some even call you a God
your greatness can never be truly measured from the records file
In near future you'll change the role and the lives will move on,
Just let me re-live all those precious moments of your game for a while...

A man of wisdom, a man of courage
A man who positively used all his rage..
You'll be truly missed and cricket will never be the same
as there will be matches but without the "Sachin Sachin" vibe...

Choice.

One my love is movies. I just love the idea of storytelling and how powerful it can be if told in a certain way.
Two movies recently made an impact on me..'Christmas lodge' and 'The man of Steel'. They both have no connection story wise, yet they are tied with a common thread..'choice'.
The first one is simple, a young believer girl who wishes to preserve an old Christmas lodge (where she has memories of her childhood) and how her family (specially her grandfather) supports her. The later one of course is a Superman movie so I should not say anything more.
The grandfather convinces his son to help the girl by telling him a story. The story of a carpenter who helped the ones who were needy. He didn't care about what the world would say or his income but saw that people's need for help, and rushed to them. This is the carpenter from Galilee - Jesus.
The main protagonist of the story listens to her grandfather and makes 'a choice' to help preserve and restore the lodge as she sees the need (and probably the only income source of the owner) and stands firm to offer her help against all odds. She believes that the Lord will provide and follows through.
My mind started running these parallel thoughts. First, our bodies/souls are like 'the lodge'. God on purpose puts certain people in it, so we can be shaped and restored to what He intends us to be. Thus, we are enabled for making 'the choices'. Second, It's upon us to make the choice. The choice to let people in and work with us; and the choice to allow God to open up his ways for us. His path may not be clear at times, but still making the decision to move forward will always takes us on the progress path.
This is the point where the Superman movie comes into picture. The very lines in the movie say it "Sometimes you just have to take the leap of faith, trust comes later." I feel this leap of faith is those choices we make. The decisions that we take; that strong confidence we show that no matter what I want to go on following God. I do not know what He has in store for me, but if I continue to walk ahead I'll eventually know. See, God is our first parent, He'll never harm us. Yes He'll take us through difficult situations and really really hard times, that's a guarantee. But even in those situations He'll give us the reasons, tiny moments to smile; which will make us believe in Him again.
Take the case of Clark (Superman), his father teaches him to make those right choices. The choice that'll lead him to be the man he is going to be. Clark understands that in order to become that leader or savior, first he needs to make the right choices and no matter what you always always have a choice. Likewise God teaches us to take the right steps; sometimes through his word, sometimes through mistakes, situations and experiences or even through people he places in our lives. But He keeps the decision making part to us. Somewhere I read this and I feel its so apt: "God will never interfere in our will, but He'll get His ways through our decisions and make them right." What do you think?

“Life Ain’t Been No Crystal Stair . . . But I’se Still Climbin’”

Such a powerful creation...

Well, son, I’ll tell you:
Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.
It’s had tacks in it,
And splinters,
And boards torn up,
And places with no carpet on the floor –
Bare.
But all the time
I’se been a-climbin’ on,
And reachin’ landin’s,
And turnin’ corners,
And sometimes goin’ in the dark
Where there ain’t been no light.
So boy, don’t you turn back.
Don’t you set down on the steps
‘Cause you finds it’s kinder hard.
Don’t you fall now –
For I’se still goin’, honey,
I’se still climbin’,
And life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.
- “Mother to Son” by Langston Hughes (1922)

भय इथले संपत नाही

This composition has a huge impact on my mind...still figuring out the meaning of the song and its deep penetration inside....

Random thoughts..

Just something that I have been thinking on for weeks.....

There is something that troubles me from within
I keep wondering as I hear the knocking sin...

Accepting the boundaries of being just a human makes me unsatisfied
Drives my inner self to jump into the things I once denied...

I sense a 'need for change' while fighting with myself desperately
Wanting of god isn't enough, 'breathing Him' will only make my sick soul healthy...

If I am an image, then why don't I exert a perfect reflection?
How do I forget that I possess the light, that burning fire which I manage to shun...

I have to help myself to gather all the pieces of my broken soul
Build a new me that will be a perfect fit for His mould....

Tum Ho.....

Tum Ho..
Tum Ho Paas MereSaath MereTum yoonJitna Mehsoos Karoon tumkoUtna Hi Paa Bhi Loon

You are...You are near me...with me...
The more I feel you, the more I get you....

Tum Ho Mere Liye
Mere Liye ho Tum yoon
Khud Ko Main Haar Gaya Tum Ko
Tumko main Jeeta Hoon

You are..You are for me..I have lost myself..but I have won you...

Kahin Se Kahin Ko Bhi
Aao Bewajah Chalen
Poochhe Bina Kisi Se
Hum Milen
Bandishen Na Rahi Koi Baaki Tum Ho

Lets walk in any direction...without a reason...
Let meet together....without a permission...
There are no boundaries anymore..Becuase You are...

Kis Tarah, Chheenega
Mujh Se Ye Jahaan Tumhe
Tum bhi Ho hai Kya Fikar Ab Humein

How will this world separate me from you...
Why should I worry about anything, when I have you..Because You are....
